Air Marshal Ahmer Shehzad H.I. (M)

Vice Chief of the Air Staff / Member CAA Board

Air Marshal Ahmer Shehzad was commissioned in General Duty Pilot Branch of Pakistan Air Force in November, 1984. Following that, he graduated through operational conversions and other professional courses for accomplishment of fighter pilot career. In that, he has served in various fighter squadrons as operational and instructor pilot. To his credit, he has credible experience on F-6, F-7P and F-16 aircraft. The officer has commanded squadron of Combat Commander School and PAF Base Shahbaz.
In his academic profile, Air Marshal Ahmer Shehzad is a graduate of Air War College, Pakistan Air Force, National Defence University Pakistan and Joint Command & Staff College, UK. He holds post graduate degrees in War Studies from Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and Strategic Studies from Kings College, London.
In the Staff appointments, he has served as Director Operational Requirement & Development, Air Headquarters, Chief Project Director Falcon (F-16 Project), Director General Logistics at Joint Staff Headquarters, Director General Projects Air Headquarters, Islamabad & Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board, Kamra. Also, he has officiated as Air Attaché at Pakistan Embassy in Washington DC from 2008 to 2010 and has been awarded ‘Legion of Merit’ by US Government. The officer is recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military). He is married and blessed with three children.
At present, Air Marshal Ahmer is officiating as Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, Air Headquarters, Islamabad.

Mr. Mathar Niaz Rana

Mr. Mathar Niaz Rana is an officer of 18th Common Training Program of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS). He is a B.Sc Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, MBA (Finance) from Imperial College of London UK and M.Sc from London School of Economics, UK. He is also a Graduate of National Defence University, Islamabad. Mr. Mathar Niaz Rana has been serving on important administrative positions in the Government of Punjab, Government of the Balochistan and Federal Government including Islamabad Capital Territory Administration. He has also served as 48th Chief Secretary of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and is currently serving as Secretary, Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.

Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda

Members Customs (Ops) FBR / Member CAA Board

Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda is an officer of Pakistan Customs Service (17th CommonTraining Program). He joined the Government Service in 1989 and has extensive experience in Customs enforcement while also having had the distinction of spearheading two largest seizures of narcotics and precursors. He has also worked in FBR Policy Wing on tariff rationalization and as a Director General of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. Syed Muhammad Tariq Huda has also served as Additional Secretary Ministry of Commerce from May 2018 to May 2020 and also remained as Chairman TCP. He has also served as Chairman State Life Insurance Corporation and CEO of NICL and is currently serving as Member Customs (Operations) in the Federal Board of Revenue. His social contributions include the Eduljee Dinshaw Road Trust which beautified the infrastructure and environment in Kharadar and Karachi Port Area and has also been actively working for revival of parks in Karachi with the Mayor of Karachi and the Guardians Board of Frere Hall.

Mr. Osman Saeed Khan

Secretary CAA Board

Osman Saeed Khan is a Mechanical Engineer with nearly 30 years of work experience. After his basic schooling from Karachi Grammar School, he graduated from the N.E.D. University of Engineering & Technology in 1990. He started his career with working in multinationals like Ghandhara Nissan Ltd and Pakistan Burmah Shell before finally joining CAA in 1992. During his 28 years of service in CAA he has a very diversified experience of working in staff, training, field and project related appointments.
His staff appointments include various tenures in Technical, E&M and P&D Directorates at Headquarters, while he has served as Instructor and later as visiting faculty at CAA Training Institute. His field appointments include serving in the General Engineering Depot, Motor Transport and Operations & Maintenance of Electro-Mechanical Engineering Services at Jinnah Terminal, JIAP. He also holds the experience of working at the Islamabad International Airport Project during its most active construction phase i.e. from 2014 to 2017, initially as Additional Director (E&M) and later as Project Director. During his career with CAA he has attended various equipment related courses from abroad and has twice been awarded the DGCAA’s commendation certificate.
Currently he is serving as an Additional Director in the P&D Directorate at HQCAA.
